Point 5 – Peter is still trying to locate the school honours board.
Point 10 – Bill assured us that the prayer lists were in hand.

6. Correspondence -
Thank you sent to Inglenook for the cheese and wine afternoon they hosted.
Apologies email received from Rev June Barras explaining she will be unable to attend meetings or services for the foreseeable future.
Peter read the response form the Parish Council to our letter about the lack of representation at the Remembrance Service. They were obviously not impressed with the correspondence but as a result Peter has proposed he will attend a Parish Council meeting and liaise with them to organise a service towards the end of this year to mark the 80th anniversary of the beginning of WW2. All present felt his was a splendid idea as we need to keep close ties with the Parish Council.
Joan had various correspondences including thanks from the Children’s Society for the Christingle money, a run down of the 2019 budget from the Diocese, a credit letter from Npower and reimbursement for the expenses of visiting clergy.

7. Reports

• Wardens – Bill explained that an advert for a new vicar has been placed, shortlisting will take place at the end of March, interviews to be 11/4/19 and hopefully an appointment made before the end of April.
The chimney is now sorted thanks hugely to the efforts of Matthew Curry. The PCC decided that he was to be given a £50 M&S voucher along with the boxes of biscuits Bill has already bought. Matthew is to be asked if he will take on the annual task of checking the chimney. Peter is to write to the chimney sweep to explain the difficulties we had after his three visits and to try and recoup some of the expenses he claimed.
Thanks to the wardens for all they do to keep church running smoothly.

• Treasurer- Joan presented the annual accounts. She went through the main points and answered any questions. Adoption of the accounts was proposed by Moira, seconded by Peter and unanimously agreed by the rest of the PCC.
Special thanks go to John for continuing to play the organ free of charge. Thank go to Roger Styring for auditing the accounts and for refusing payment for all the photocopying he does.
