Minutes - 5th March 2015

Treasures Report: Violet reported a
profit in respect of the Burns night supper.
Details will be available at next meeting.
Burns Night Supper: This was another huge
success everybody who attended enjoyed the
The team provided 41 meals.
Next year if cooking for approximately the same
amount the following would be a useful
• 14 Pints soup
• 16 Swedes
• ¾ Sack potatoes
• 2x 450g mince
• Haggis we ordered for 45 people would have
• Coffee after the meal
Garry Budge thanked for piping in the haggis.
Ceilidh: 14 March 2015. The Whistling
sheep will need access to the Hall @ 6pm.
Team will meet at the Hall at 10am to set up for
Alison will speak to John Davison and ask him
whether he could produce a flyer advertising the
Ceilidh, May Day sale and Village clean up day.
(Alison spoke to John and he kindly agreed to do
this at very short notice).
Raffle prizes needed.
Alison will order banqueting roll for tables.
Village Clean up Day: 11th April 2015
10-12am. Alison has spoken to the Council who
will deliver equipment needed, and collect
May Day Sale: 23 May 2015 10-12am
• Tombola prizes needed.
• Raffle prizes
• Plants and books. Garry and Steve are able to
run stall again. It was agreed to put gazebo up
again as it draws attention to the sale.
• Cakes needed for refreshment table
• No charge for stall holders.
• Entrance £1.00
Any Other Business: Violet suggested
holding a Haiwian evening on the 4thJuly. People
could bring their own drinks and we would
provide food or have a pooled supper. This was
provisionally booked and to be discussed in more
detail at next meeting.
