ACT MINUTES -
3rd September 2015

Previous Minutes read and agreed.
Fabulous Forties Tea party: Sunday 13th
September @ 3-5pm
• Free entry
• Charge for refreshments
• Musical CDs sourced by Tessa and Bill
• Quiz compiled with help from Graham Cock
• Tessa has obtained a Pathe news reel to play
on big screen in Hall
• Tessa has designed a poster. Alison will get
printed at the School.
• Memorabilia is being collected. (since this
meeting Alison has spoken to Brian Patterson who
has a lot of memorabilia they will bring along
• Set up Hall from 12pm
• Assortment of sandwiches- 50p per ½ rounds.
• Scones – 50p
• Cakes- 50p slice
• Tea and Coffee -50p with free refills
Photocopier: to be raised at next Village
• Bill reported that some stalls had already
booked for this event. He also suggested having
some stalls along the road running through
Village. It was agreed to ask stall holder when
they booked whether they preferred to be inside
the Hall or set up outside.
• Father Christmas needed!
Posters and advertising will be discussed
further at next meeting.
Goal Posts: Alison sourced some goal
posts costing £495. She discussed purchase at
the Parish Council Meeting as they are
responsible for the ground they will be sited
on. Parish Council would be very grateful for
ACTs donation towards goal posts. Alison
informed ACT that Councillor David Barras was
also making a donation towards the cost. The
Parish clerk will arrange for the posts to be
purchased and sited correctly. She will also
speak to the people living near the land to
ensure they have no issues with them. Alison
will e-mail Parish Clerk to inform her that ACT
is happy to make donation.
