INDIAN EVENING

INDIAN DINING EXPERIENCE  14th April 2012
What a fabulous evening this "Indian Experience" turned out to be.  The village hall had been suitably decorated beforehand by members of Acklington Community Team and a superb 3 course meal was enjoyed by fifty diners.  In charge of the catering was Tessa Sayers who served up the impressive and delicious menu shown opposite.

Following the meal, Chris Sayers and Dawn Jorasz both spoke passionately about the charities they support to help deprived and impoverished Indian children.  In Chris's case FWT (Faith Welfare Trust) and in Dawn's case RTU (Reaching The Unreachable).  It really is quite a remarkable and extraordinary coincidence that these two Acklington neighbours (and their families) are actively involved in helping poor and underprivileged children in the same South East area of India.

The evening made a profit of 340
(a welcome 170 for each charity).
